History

Orpheus Technologies was founded in 2001, in Beverly Hills California, with the goal of advancing entertainment and technology in the 21st Century.  Orpheus built one of the first licensing systems for music in the visual media.  Please see the U.S. patent application from 2002 below.

 

As one of the first online licensing systems for music in the visual media, a number of import uses were made using this system.  Uses include music in the classic films Red Dragon, Girl Fight, Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can, and the video dance game Pump It Up.
